A code should open one page
Put the code where someone is already standing. A card on the counter, a receipt after the visit, or a card on the table. They scan it with their phone instead of typing the address.
The scan should open the page that fits that spot. A receipt can open the review page. A card on the table can open the menu. A code by the phone number can start a call. The homepage is the wrong landing page when they came for one of those.
A review code is one piece of asking for a review. The review system is the short link, the text you can send after the job, and the QR code together. The customer writes the review. A reward for a review is not part of this.
The code only points at the page. If that page looks wrong, that is a restore. If it will not load, that is uptime.
